The CCB (Canada Child Benefit) statement is mailed by the government after you file your tax return. It is a statement that outlines if and how much you are eligible to receive each month.
If you have misplaced your mailed copy, you can also retrieve your CCB Statement from the CRA website https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/cra-login-services.html
It is important NOT to use the Print/Save button as it does not print a statement that has your name on it. The lender must identify that you are the owner of the statement as someone could be using it in a fraudulent situation.
To obtain a statement with your name on it, please follow the steps below:
1. Click the green bar “My Account”
2. Scroll down to Option 1 – “Sign-In Partner” the is the easiest way to sign in as it goes directly through your bank so you will need your banking login. If you have a sign in created with CRA please use that method.
3. Once signed in you will see on the left-hand side “Mail” – click on it
4. There will be a list of emails that have been sent to your profile and are listed in grey. Please find the latest CCB Notice (check the dates on the right-hand side of the list to ensure you have the latest statement.
5. Select the CCB Statement and year that you would like to retrieve
6. A window will open beside the grey list previewing your CCB Statement
7. Click the “Open” link in the top right-hand corner of the preview screen
8. Once the preview screen has opened to the full document, on the top right-hand corner click “Print/Save”
9. On the right hand side in the Print panel select the “Destination” as “Save as PDF”
10. Follow the steps to save your document to your computer. Remember where you save your document. Sometimes the easiest place to find your document again is to save it to the desktop.
